I'm not telling you to shoot it, but the fawn will be fine.  

 

I read a study that showed that button bucks have a higher survival rate when they are separated from their mothers during their first autumn.

Had 1 doe cruise by at about 50 yards. Squirrels are starting to wake up now. The deer tend to hit this patch around 8-8:30. Hopefully that holds true

Z17. Had a large deer walk in on me before I even had my tree strap on .hung out for a few and left . Just had a button buck on bait for the last 25 minutes , and a doe playing cat and mouse with me . Five went across the creek but way too far away .

Had a small doe come through at 815 no shot .now nothing but landowner chicken's

I had one come in the dark and hung around till 6:10, I could see the body no problem but couldn't make out if it was a small buck or a doe, I needed 3 more minutes but she didn't stick around. When I climbed down I checked the camera and of coarse it was a big doe. Oh well hopefully this evening

Ok so I'm done for the morning hunt I'll be back later today. Had a guy walk by me and said he scared a couple of deers where I had set up

after forgetting my safety harness (always need this)and binos(didnt really need the binos) i decided to sit on a little rock ledge, saw 2 bucks and 4 does and then a doe decided to walk under the rock ledge, bad mistake by her....

 

and BTW to the young hunters, I had two deer this morning blowing and carrying on right below me, probably because of me, but if you sit tight they seem to forget what all that ruckus was about....

Oh, take the fawn you big wuss!

 

Take the fawn, save the hide.  Offer it as an add-on to someone's full size mount for $1,000 more.
