75 year old, allegedly distracted by his cell phone and didn't have any other passengers keep an eye out.

I had a close call years ago when I was fishing Lake Hopatcong. I saw the boat coming and grabbed my air horn and started yelling. Finally, the idiot saw me and turned missing me by about a foot or two.

still blows my mind how that happens.......you have just about  the ENTIRE ocean, bay, lake, river open with no obstructions or boats in the way and people somehow manage to crash into each other.

State Police still haven't found the boater that killed another boater on Greenwood Lake a year or two ago.

I saw that on the news this morning. Crazy

many accidents happen due to one person acting like they are the only ones out there.

We were anchored in the Raritan bay clamming for stripers.

Saw a sail boat coming at us pretty direct.

Blew the air horn and a female comes out of the berth screaming they were under sail and had right of way.

Only issue was we were anchored F idiot.

well the next day the SAME  boat ran over a friends anchor line with their keel, almost sinking his boat pulling the bow under.

He called the coast guard, they were told they had been down in the cabin eating dinner while UNDER SAIL.
