I fished tbe Raritan, horrible all year. Out front it is ok, IF you find them. I guess to each their own. I would rather catch bluefish...at least they fight. I never saw the fun in fluke fishing.

I have yet to fluke fish on my big boat yet this year. The little boat has seen a lot of crabbing though. Hopefully Thursdays weather will be a good day to get out and catch the last of the sea bass and some fluke for all that crab meat stuffing.

PS any intel would be appreciated, I am heading out of SR.

I would rate the season overall as Fair.

Poor in the first half......hammered at a lot of my "old" spots that typically produced.

That sent me into search mode and lead to a Good second half of the season.

The silver lining is that I probably wouldn't have found the "new" spots if the first half wasn't Poor.

I had a decent season. I've noticed guys that are saying bad season won't run to find the fish. They dusty on the sane spots that have produced in the past. Storms change the way under water structure is you need to adapt and mid to find fish. Wich seems most here have

Gave up Fluke plus Health issues kept me off the Beaches and Shorelines,

Forget about 2 fish on a Head Boat for Only $80 for a 1/2 DAY

11-year-old Grandson Picked all summer from Jettys at Deal Casino Beach Club. 75% shorts but told me today a 12LB one was taken there. Hand Scale no Photos.  Seems bigger ones working shoreline after Snappers now up to 14"

The photo is him at Ocean Grove Jettys.

We did 15 trips in July and August.

12-trips we had over a boat limit (ORL)

1 after work trip had 11/15

1 trip just a few keepers

1 trip was a SKUNK

Most of our keepers were well over the 18" minimum.

Average fish daily were 20-22"
