How about Tommies Italian Sausages (hotdogs) down the 'Burg on Elizabeth Ave in downtown Elizabeth?

Toby's Cup in P'burg?

Also, during the winter months if hunting near the Gap then stop in on Alpine Meats in Blairstown for their soups - the Pea Soup is a religious experience guaranteed to send your mouth into raptures of pleasure.  Also pick up some of their landjagers (sold by the pair).  Not bad hotdogs either.

Newark is loaded with good Restaurants. Try SolMar  next time you in the area.
There is also Fernades Steak House in Sayreville on Rt 35, same owner.

I think we do need a food stop section on this site for cool holes in the wall (of the non-glory hole variety) in addition to the more upscale ones.

Anyone with me on this?

Maybe just a thread entitled : Food Trips, make it a sticky.

Lots of good places around here.

Filomena Lakeview in Deptford for Italian food, or Cafe 2825 in A.C.

Mexico in A.C. for Mexican food

Franklinville Inn, in Franklinville

I've read the wings at the Landmark in Glassboro are the best for 100 miles, according to a few celebs, including a Food Network star who lives local.

The Amish Market in Mullica Hill has a pretty good place to sit and eat, and some of the best prepared, take-out food around.

Sabrina's cafe in Collingswood for breakfast

Gaetano's in Brooklawn for cheese steaks

Outlaw Burger Barn in Vineland for the best, gourmet, specialty burgers.

KS Italian Specialties in Brigewater - their focaccia sandwiches rock especially when you get a bit that got fried in the pan by the oil - Oh my!  I love their fresh made pasta (I cannot eat the inhuman amounts of it that I used to anymore but even moderation must be practiced in moderation...).
