Opening day success!

I went out today where I had roosted a couple gobblers last night. The only issue was they were further than I would have liked and across a busy road. 

I arrived and I was getting into my blind when I heard the first one gobble. I waited and after a bit let them know I was there. Great gobbling from both gobblers.

We went back and forth for about and hour and 20 minutes. Finally, heard the one gobbler making his way to me fast. 

Before I knew it he was beside me at 3 yards to my right. He made his way towards my jake decoy in full strut. He turned broadside and I let it fly at 8 yards. Gobbler only went 10 yards and I had my opening day gobbler. It was a great day and I was blessed to enjoy our American tradition of turkey hunting.
