Grey foxes

I trapped Fox back in the late 70's, caught dozens of red's, never a gray.

BTW back then I would get $60-$80 for a fox, $25 for coons, and $6-$8 for 'rats.  I was in high school and that was a lot of money for me....

Greys prefer big woods habitat. Unlike Reds that prefer open areas like fields and farms. They also have adapted well to suburban and urban areas. That is why with urban sprawl there are many more Reds and less Greys.

Yep, Burlington county.  I've only seen greys in central and southern NJ.  Seen lots of reds in northern NJ.

I see reds all the time.  Never seen a grey from the stand

Same area as I posted the grey.  I have seen both in the same sit.
