I would expect there is some push back on that .

‘Even FG doesn’t like the regs from last season .

then being forced to not entertain our own options is a total break in the procedures to set seasons by each state .

From what I was told the council wanted to look at other options but The Atlantic states told them this year is status quo, no movement allowed

That’s what PD wrote on Nj fishing . (Council member )

he is very disappointed in the whole process used this year .

says everything reopens next year .

‘makes no sense that we had to stay status quo across the board instead of working between the weight parameters, possibly changing the season bag limits and durations .

Tell me I am wrong. Perfect regs for NY and NJ all waters - 4 fluke 16.5” or better. Only 1 fluke can be over 24”.  It has something for everyone with a focus on protecting big breeders.

Was plenty of fluke when we had a 16 1/2” limit 

and it was 8 per guy back then .

Ridiculous if you can’t catch an 18” keeper anywhere in the state .

I’m ok with the regs although I would prefer something like jack said. With that said, these regs once again conflict with NY. How we can have such a large gap in regs when fishing the same NY bight waters is beyond me.
