Was a good start with great friends, some birds definitely fell today.

I am not a goose hunter but have heard friends complain about allowed quotas. Does this special day allow for a change in the numbers ?

Yes. It is now 5. But it isn't statewide. Only in the special season zone. It's trying to target the resident birds.

I am just outside of the special area by about a mile. Watched about 700 geese fly over me yesterday as I tried for snows. Depressing.

Probably had about 10 dozen out, we didn’t put them all out.  They like when we broke them up in family groups of about a dozen

my situation is even more frustrating....the edge of "my" farm field property is literally the boundary of the special season zone, and I'm on the wrong side of the boundary

Actually, I just checked the map... I thought the AC expressway was the boundary line but not where I'm at. The boundary line is 2 miles away .. ok now I don't feel too bad. Lol
