So I’m sure other guys have had this happen.. but I’ve only experienced it a few times. I feel like it’s a bit harder in New Jersey especially heavily hunted areas. But super cool at the same time. 3 years ago I was hunting a 3.5 year old 8 he showed up on cam the last week of October I never got a shot at him that year but continued getting pics of until horns dropped. The following year he showed up again in the last week of October as a 4.5 year old that’s when I named him “dan” no specific reason he just looks like a dan. Had a chance at him on a stalk with the muzzy in January last season but accidentally shot the wrong deer in a group of cedars….. our neighbors got his sheds that winter. Wasn’t sure if I’d see him again this season but sure enough he showed up tonight as a 5.5 year old like clock work. And now the chase continues…

Yeah it gets tough to take a 5.5 year old but having history with certain bucks help. I have notice the frequent certain areas around the same time year to year. Love having history with them. Having a set of sheds is really cool if you can finally take him. Good Luck
