Buck still holding on May 1

Buddy just sent me a pic of a small 3 point still holding both sides . He said there were 3 other bucks with him that had an inch or 2 of new growth starting . This is the latest that I have seen a buck holding .

I said the same thing but he said it pissed like a buck . It was in his back yard . Watched it for like 15 minutes .

Wow, that is late.  New growth typically starts in April so there's a good chance that something's off.

Seen one just before trout season one year, never this late.  Seeing an inch or two of growth now.  Wonder if he'll still be a 3pt this season.

I remember back on youth day turkey season like 20 years ago I saw a hard rack not shedded yet and a velvet buck splitting its first "y" in the same morning
