It's one of the few times that I targeted a specific deer.  I was sitting on the ground with my back against a tree in a snow storm.  I shot him at 8 yards with an old TC Renegade.

Thanks, Graybeard inspired me to try to get at the texture of hunting, and not simply the trophies.

Some pictures from pa deer camp over the years.  Missing a few years on my cell phone but every year my son and I drink from the spring for good luck hunting and immortality😁. So far so good. 
Love the traditions of deer camp!

Used to love my manual SLR macro 64 ISO build the picture's fool the cam aperture and speed and filters. I forgot how to do that stuff. Now I just point  my phone an shoot 😢
