Neck Bone

On a cold Sunday afternoon, decided to try some Neck Bone Osso Bucco. Smells amazing. 5 more hours in the Dutch oven

Yeah, my brother fixed it for me this year, was excellent, so I've started saving the hocks and necks from all deer this year.

Nothing wrong here In Pa they take the whole deer in Nj they take the Antlers

Looks like a treat! I did this with beef shank for the first time few weeks ago.

Lot of good meat on the neck.  Butcher showed me filet it off bone & tie into a roast with string.

 I took the neck for the first time this year. It was great! Someone here posted a barbacoa recipe - I decided to try it. There was lots of meat, and was delicious!

Neck is just like the shanks - they are overlooked and lots of people throw them away...yet, if you just cook them the way God intended, they make excellent meals

Agreed, can’t believe I didn’t save the shanks and neck until this year…I just didn’t know. My brother has been trying to tell me for years, I didn’t listen until he fixed it while I was visiting, now I know.
