I’m back in the woods for the first time since opening day. I’m out on the edge of a hayfield surrounded by cornfields

Good luck looney, i am stuck at work. This work bs is really getting in the way of my hunting.

I'm out in a new spot on public land.  Got sick of looking at the same view and passing on the same deer every hunt on my private.land  My standards are way lower for this hunt.   The deer sign is great and the wind is perfect     we shall see

  I'm out here with you listening to the birds and beetles.  Plan on doing a little light sparring rattles as the sun sets.  Swamp is 150 to 200 yards away,but it's very still right now so maybe they will hear  it. 

Might  be the only way to get to hold a pair of antlers in my  hands.
