Pretty active log...

Was doing some scouting the other day and decided to slip into an area I though may be a good bedding location.  As I was checking the area I noticed, in the snow, a set of cat tracks on a downed tree and the trapper in me said... PUT IT HERE... so I did.   Went back today to pull the card and was happy to see that there was some good deer activity, but I was more happy to see that what little "trapper instinct" I have was spot on.  Here's a few pics... enjoy.

pretty cool, what part of state

Salem Co. area

Little M's deer walk on the log.  Just saying.    :poke:

LOLOLOLOL.....  If a deer walks on that log I'll call my camera a liar!

Cool pictures. I'd love to hang a snare on it for a grey fox

I'll most likely give in to the temptation and do just that.  The area is on a rebound with grey's so if I should be lucky enough to catch one I'll probably let him go, but I can't tell the old lady cause she wants one mounted bad  :hmmmer:

Neat pix, thanks for showing them.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Joshua Chapter 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

I honestly had no idea Mountain laurel existed that far south in Jersey, let alone Salem county.... Pretty cool to learn something new. Thanks for sharing, nice pics. (at least it looks like mountain laurel or some type of rhodo)

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

It's everywhere around here.  Tracking deer through it at night is always interesting and your guaranteed to get turned around in it  :nerd:
