1/25/2022 winter bow doe

Tuesday afternoon I harvested a doe with my Center Point Tyro recurve crossbow. Got a clean pass thru at 15 yards with a muzzy fixed blade. Heart shot and tracking was easy.

Haha its my foam target I need it  to shoot a bolt so I can drive home without the x-bow cocked.

Yer only allowed to kill one deer per day.lol..In my early days ground shot.I used a junkie bolt with a field point with a big washer. This is what I use now.

I'm always afraid of shooting a doe this late in the year - not looking forward to taking little deers out of the belly of another deer (yes, I'm a big baby)

You ain't a big baby. I'll Never forget a winter bow kill, gutting her I didn't expect I just killed four deer with one shot. Made me pretty damn sad!!!

To be honest I didn’t notice anything different with the gut pile. So maybe she wasn’t bred.
