Berry ID Please

Are these just regular raspberries? And are both pictures of the same berry? The plants look different to me.. The first plant seems to have rounded leaves, and the 2nd seems to have more pointed leaves? Thanks guys.

Wine Berries.I just picked some in my yard yesterday.There excellent.

Yep. Wine berries. They are great.

Rubus phoenicolasius is the wineberry plant, a native of Asia.  It was introduced here and is invasive, but the berries are good to eat.

Yes, same plant species.  There are likely different cultivars around of the same species which will have minor differences between them.

I have seen them before and never ate them. Knew they were no raspberries so would not eat. Good info here . Nice having access to great info

I'm having a tough time picking them the last couple years...seems the wildlife is getting them before they have a chance to ripen.

I pick buckets of them around the perimeter of the local cemetery. For some reason everything grows really well up there.....

always eat them. one time i picked enough and my wife made cobbler. they are delicous.

I love them always thought they where raspberry’s  🤷🏿‍♀️
