Hello All,

 

I'm a new member and just found out about this site due to temporarily being banned by OSOKILL on NJH. So far all my hunting is limited to upland game. I hunt the WMAs as well as the private preserves such as Gibersons and Brookside. I'll be picking up my first gun dog, a Spinone Italiano this April. I look forward to being an active contributor to this forum.

I've been seeing more grouse along the base of the Kittatinny Ridge.  The population is no longer declining and the hope is that the resistant birds that survived the virus will now begin to repopulate.

I have a friend who hunts state game land 159 in Wayne County Pa. He’s seen a few grouse there.

Hunted  Bradford County PA with my dad in the 70's and 80's.

had grouse on every trip back then. Loved chasing them, but boy did they stink when your dressing them out .

Provided the state keeps up with its forestry habitat work! Grouse in NJ are spotty, but they are hanging on.
