LPJR
Was tired of having the pipes and dual mufflers scrape the road on the smallest bumps while driving the Chevelle so left the car with Magnum Motors for the day. Had 2 brand new cargo springs installed on the rear (although I was afraid it was going to be jacked up in the rear which is what I did not want). The owner assured me it would be brought back to stock without a huge lift. While the car was in the shop, it was timed, tuned up, gone over entirely getting it ready for the annual ride to LEAD EAST in Parsippany, known as the "worlds biggest 50's party." I have to say I am so pleased with the way it now sits, but more so how it drives much better. Hard to notice, but the first pic shows the car before the springs were installed and the third pic down is after the install. After having less than honest experiences with various chain mechanic shops over the last 20 years, having a trustworthy, knowledgeable, honest ace mechanic is worth it's weight in gold to me in my opinion...All of my family's cars including my daughters' have only and will only be going to Lyndon at Magnum Motors. If there is something that truly does not need to get done or fixed, he will be honest and not do the work or "fabricate" a job just to do it which is cool. Below is one of his shop trucks that he actually just sold...Was a huge ride and was actually street legal if fender flares were installed for the huge tires...Also attached below is the info for LEAD EAST which is coming up in a couple of weeks... https://www.leadeast.net/index.php Edited August 12, 2017 by LPJR 3Blade, rackemup, Lphunsjr and 13 others

FLDBRED-BDC
Well now that's what I'm talking about!!! My very first car was a LS-6 454 Chevelle ! The car NEVER lost a race, didn't matter if it was a 426 Hemi or what ever! We now have a 69 SS 396 that's a father son project. That's a real nice ride you got! Motor/Trans ? Don't EVER sell it! It sits perfect, what springs "part # " did you use? LPJR 1 Pennsylvania Upland Hunting

I fell in love with the Briggs/ Ray Allen 454 ls6 that defeated everything it ran against in Super Stock and won a National Championship ! You would cry if I told you what I sold that car for...but who knew! Pennsylvania Upland Hunting

It sits perfect, what springs "part # " did you use? Thanks bro...The original engine was pulled when it blew in college. Since, a small block killer 327 from a '68 Corvette was installed...Turns out since checking the numbers on the block, it is a high horsepower engine with a cam and fuelie heads.....Over the years, an Edelbrock Manifold, Holley 650 carb, Hooker Headers, Electronic HEI ignition, Walker pipes and mufflers, etc have been installed. Want to get some fender body work done next, but with my oldest going to college in 2 weeks that is on hold. Would also like to have a turbo 350 trans installed down the road. All fun stuff to do with my son, since he and I took out the interior together a couple of years ago and redid it when he was 10. He was turning a wrench and getting his hands dirty and loving every minute of it. As far as the coil springs, I can get the specific brand and model when I speak to the mechanic. Love the 69 SS father son project you have going. Post some pics up. Edited August 13, 2017 by LPJR Lphunsjr
