Beaver, It's What's For Dinner

Recommended Posts

Sorry about the Beaver thread. I'm a bad influence on you guys!....... I just got my trapping and snare certification last week. I always wanted to snatch a nice beaver, and put it in a box.

but I think there is muskrat cook off in south jersey? maybe someone in south jersey can chime in.

Couple of the local fire companies and other organizations (VFW, Elks lodge, etc) have had the muskrat dinners for many years down here. Use to be a lot more than what there has been the last few years, some of the same ones are involved with this.

anyone else sick of the high school school comments everytime a "beaver post" is made? its either trapping beaver, or eating beaver, or beaver season. its funny and all but it gets old. grow up.

on another note, a lot of chefs and high end resturants use the beaver castor for many ingredients with cooking, also used in perfumes. as for as eating beaver, I would assume it tasted similar to muskrat. I have not had either, but I think there is muskrat cook off in south jersey? maybe someone in south jersey can chime in.

Somebody needs to get laid...lol.

Just kidding buddy. What do you expect though? It's a hunting site, not a quilting club
