Pup with terminal cancer

Recommended Posts

So, just got the news form the vet that our sweet, 7 year old chessie has a very aggressive form of cancer that unfortunately is not treatable.  We rushed her in to the vet's last week and they had to perform emergency surgery.  They found a tumor on her spleen, removed the tumor and the spleen and sent the results to the lab.

We are meeting with a specialist but were already informed that she has probably only a couple months to live.

Man this just busts me up!  Haven't told the kids yet, and when ever I think about it I get all choked up.

Cancer svcks!

I read this comment once on NJH and saved it god forbid I ever had to deal with a situation like this..

Dubow over there said.. "Just had the same issue with our yellow lab, she had an ugly tumor growing on her lip. Our holistic vet suggested we have it removed and have half of it sent to a company in Tampa that makes cancer vaccines with a 100 percent cure rate. If you send it to them and it's not needed, you wasted $250,if it is needed it's another $2,000 and they send you a vaccine one a week for 4 weeks, than once a month for 4 months and your dog is cancer free with absolutely no side effects like chemo and radiation. Obviously the vaccine is sent to your local vet and it is injected into a lymph near the tumor. Our lab is now cancer free and the best part VIP pet insurance did pick up a good part of the bill. Our current vet is here, the healing place.com,our other great holistic vet, doctordeva.com can help you anywhere via phone consulting. Good luck."

I believe that company he was referring to was Morphogenesis, a bio-tech company that makes Immune-fx, a personalized cancer-fighting injection in Tampa, FL.  It might be worth taking a look at.  I'm really sorry to hear about your dog and hope this may help.

Thank you- I will definitely look into it.  I do have quite a bit of info on IMRs but this seems different- and possibly obtainable.

You obviously read my comments over on the other site, so no need to repeat them here.

I feel for you guys though. Dealing with this type of thing is one of the toughest things you'll ever have to do

Thanks again for your kind words...I think I am just gonna go home tonight, give my pup a hug, grab a beer, play "Live Like You were Dying" by Tim McGraw and ball my eyes out!
