hammer4reel
Had a few toms crushing it on the roost . They gobbled every time a tree squeaked in the wind . fly down turned into total silence . 930 comes and I hear a gobble way to my left . A few yelps and there was no doubt he was coming . He comes into my jake decoy at 6 yards and starts dancing around him . as I’m ready to send a broadhead through him another Tom coming from the right gobbles causing the hen he is following to start cutting hard . one step the Tom close to me is now blocked by a branch . The other Tom runs up to him , and instead of them jumping my decoy they proceed to beat the tar out of each other . Feathers flying . Hen starts to leave and they turn running behind her . Two gobblers at 6 yards get to fight another day . I should have just taken the first Tom , but wanted to see what the other bird was . Hero to zero . BUT we get to play again tomorrow . tpr1921, mazzgolf, Yobuck293 and 10 others 12 1 Captain Dan Bias REELMUSIC SPORTFISHING 50# Striper live release club. http://reelmusicsportfishing.blogspot.com/
mazzgolf
But you got to see a show! Watching Toms fight up close is awesome, and not many people actually get to see something like that. That's a great hunt in my book. I had something similar happen several years ago, and I still remember it. hammer4reel
rocky
Sounds like success to me, because it will be a day you remember when you are in that nursing home in a few years.c hammer4reel
fab
I hunt turkey as much as I can. Every chance I get. With whoever wants a partner. I almost never carry a weapon. I do the calling. I wana be a part of the hunt. I don’t need to pull the trigger. rocky, hammer4reel and Fred Flintstone

Hearing them spit and drum so close you can hear their feathers vibrate . And I get to do it again tomorrow . fab
Life is funny I remember my dad was partners in a small business when I was growing up 1213 hrs. a day five days a week half a day six or seven hours on Saturday Saturday afternoon he would do family stuff Sunday we could fish. He told me work all u can when the work and the money is their. When I was a late teen my mother told me I better find interests other than hunting and fishing because you can’t hunt and fish every day and my dad told me I better find a career so that I could have money to hunt on the weekends , I don’t like either of those advices so I got a job that paid a little but had lots of flexibility so I could hunt as much as I could from 18 to 28 now I’m 52. I got money to do whatever I got time to do whatever. Most hunting and fishing losts it’s flare. I love turkey. My nj spots are slim pickings. Ny and pa have birds. More where I hunt ny very physically demanding. because I’m out of shape and it’s physically exhausting I lost most of the drive. Plus i was spoiled. I had Great spots i used to shoot a lot of deer I used to see a lot of deer same for turkeys now it’s a lot more effort to see a little bit of game so it’s not worth it for me. I enjoy reading about others success and stories. So go when u can. Time catches up. And pls keep writing about them. My dad is 84 all he talked about was going fishing this spring I tried to take him a few times He can’t physically do it anymore. Now he watches YouTube fishing probably every day.
