Fresh roasted beans.  Burr grinder. Either a pour over or a french press.  Appropriate water temperature based on the beans, the grind and the brewing method.

Each improvement you make in the process will noticeably improve your coffee drinking experience

Missing is getting the 8 o'clock coffee fresh ground at A&P the whole store smelled like coffee
