hammer4reel
Want better quality fish don’t SKIMP on ice . ice is by far the cheapest part of a fishing trip , but the most important part of it . cooling down your catch quickly makes for easier to fillet fish . and keeps them from breaking down . I ALWAYS slurry my fish . when in salt water my coolers are full of ice with a few gallons of sea water . the salt water Lowers the temp way below freezing . ‘they chill in minutes instead of turning to mush , and the fish aren’t flopping around in there freshwater we use kosher salt added to the lake water to have the same effect . . Rjtfd
Don’t forget a quick snip of the gills bleeds them right out before throwing into ice slurry. Fillet are firm and white at end of day. Buckeyes11 and SPEARFISH
