I’m thinking closer to 350. But somewhere in that area of 300-350 or so. He’s not overly fat, but he’s solid. Muscle always weighs more than fat.

Very tough to estimate their weight both live and even dead. Most exaggerate or simply do not know. An average bear in NJ is 250 ish. Sure, some are 500 plus.....not many.

“Big” is relevant as you know. A bear’s weight means nothing for his score. I’ve seen 600 lb bears that wouldn’t make Book and 300 lb bears that would. IMO, too many hunters think about weight and not length and height.

Impossible to guess weight without something to judge it against as well as a couple angles…

Id bet he’s well above 300 though just from stockyness and gait…
