Terrible.  Black bears aren't "friendly" and "harmless" cuddly animals, that's for sure.

 I saw this on the New York Site also.

  I already related here that Back in Late April,I saw a Black Bear approach my Calling setup spot from 10 minutes prior. 

    2 ways out. After the Black Bear walked off,I went to my right and there he is walking parallel to me . Too quick to get back. I think,I was dealing with 2 Medium size Black Bears.

  I decide to take the other Trail.  Big semi- circle around the bottom of a ridge. I wanted to take a step uphill Trail. I go up no more then 50 feet or so and look down and there he is. Right at the bottom  staring up at me.

   If he started up,I was going to put the Bead right between his Eyes and Take Them Out.

   Definitely  being Stalked. I have had over 20 very close Black Bear encounters  while Hunting/Hiking. They all Ran away.

 I recommend  taking at least 5 Shells when Turkey Hunting. I take 7.

  Watch your Back constantly  if at Ringwood  State Park. Especially  near the Border where,I was.  No Turkeys there anyway. No Deer or Squirrels  either.
