Air rifles for Squirrels and Rabbits

Using a rifle to shoot at coyote fox etc is much different than shooting a 22 at an elevated target such as a squirrel.   U would be hard pressed to find an area in New Jersey where a 22 fired even at a 45 degree angle wouldn't reach a house or building

I see your point but  I can buy a new air rifle  with same specks as a 22.

A .22 caliber pellet versus a .22 caliber bullet travel range.
