Bear sightings in N.J. are up. Murphy rejects hunt, says are officials seeking a ‘non-lethal’ response.

I am almost certainly going to participate in the next bear hunt. With the amount of bears we are going to have, the chance for success to get a nice bear will be awesome. And we all know there is going to be another hunt - might not be for another 4+ years, but there will be another one.  Someone is going to be killed (again), or some VIP's dog is going to be attacked, and the pressure will be unbearable (no pun intended) for the politicians in charge.

My area literally is a 100% success rate. Every time I have hunted them been successful.

This is about as close as you’re going to get to hunting bear again in New Jersey. LOL And that guy would get arrested for having a big can of spray!

I don’t have an interest in actually hunting them. But when a season rolls around again I’m going to kill the max I can. Until you live in bear country, you truly cannot appreciate just how much of an annoyance they really are.

I want to hunt one in order to eat it. From what I have read bear meat was a prized meat way back when. I always buy the bear tag in PA when I am out there in case the opportunity arises.

They thought NJ had bear problems back in 2003 when they set guidelines for law enforcement to qualify with slug guns.

time doesnt move fast enough for this clown to be out of office. Hes not as bad as Corzine but he's really pushing it.....ugh

Not sure how much long he has in office but maybe we will get lucky and have hunt last year in office  when he care even less
