Mugwort and autumn olive are insane, mile a minute , stiltgrass, phragmites, it’s so crazy how bad this state is with invasive plants just absolutely suffocating the landscape

I’m in hunterdon county and my parents are in warren county both our houses are absolutely infested with lantern flies

On a positive note, a lot of the young ash trees are loaded with seeds this year so we should have a good crop of young trees in the future.

There’s a way to tell which wasp it is by the face and striping on its abdomen.
That is a European hornet…which coincidentally isn’t called a European hornet in Europe and can cause confusion since there are a few that would fall into that category.🤦‍♀️ It’s better known as a giant hornet or brown hornet.
