tonights dinner( fish and chips)

used cod fillets. first i made a dry flour mix of flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. i coated the fillets in the dry flour after giving them an ice water bath.

then made the wet batter. again used flour, then added a can of miller lite, and pickle juice. stirred it all up until it was like pancake batter

coated the cod fillets in the dry flour then dipped them into the wet batter and into 350 degree peanut oil. once again my dutch oven is being used as a deep fryer, cant go wrong with these dutch ovens, the iron stays hot for a long time and all this oil is great for the iron.

then made homemade coleslaw. i mixed chopped cabbage and carrots with dijon mustard, apple cidar vinegar, mayo, lemo juice, and sugar. 

served with french fries and a bowl of apple sauce for after.
