I Have a Treasure Chest for a Freezer

Was browsing around Wegman's today. I found two packages of Venison. They didn't even have a price on them. I asked the meat department employee to check the price. It was $33 for a pack of 4 chops or a package of loins. Each weighed a pound. 

I've seen ground venison go for $20 a pound. Makes me want to hunt even more.

My aunt baught a pack one time,  while it wasnt bad to me it was no different than beef..  its farm raised no where near what we eat when we harvest a deer

Yes, farm raised Venison. Some of it comes from Australia and it's not a Whitetail Deer.

Illegal for a Hunter to sell wild harvested deer. Yeah, who's going to open up shop and sell OTC.

I was talking to a Chef at a place that I frequented about recently killing an Elk (about 5 years ago). 

He asked me for some meat.  I gave him a nice roast being the nice guy that I am.......  Two days later he had it on the specials listed as "Wild Wyoming Elk Roast"  $29.99....  I was not a happy camper.  He pulled it off the menu.  He did sell about 4 plates of it,  I tried it and he did an excellent job but I had to explain to him that that was not a good idea.
