Early replaceable blade broadheads

Saw this pic .

took me back to the late 70’s

the original 3 replaceable broad head companies .

funny as my 2 earliest hunting partners and I each chose a different head.

I shot the Savora .

before that we all had shot BEAR  razorheads and zwickey’s

‘was neat seeing them all together, someone selling the lot on eBay.

im sure I still have a few of each of them in my junk box.

i still have an old pack of razorbacks lying around - otherwise all the oldies are gone.  The quality in today's BH's are far superior to the one's you posted, but still - they got the job done, because put them in the right spot, deer die and die quick.

I started with Hilbre than Bear Razorhead. "Graduated" to Satellite.

There are orig wasp, satellites and savora shown in that pic.

Each of these heads prob had three or four revisions before razorbacks came out .

lots of other heads also hit the market  then .

I shot Razorback 4 as they were wider than the 5 ..

Hilde's on a fiberglass shaft to Savora S on 2216 gamegetters. I tried most everything back in those days too. Killed a lot of deer with Rocky Mountain razors before Muzzy and Thunderheads. Never used razorbacks though.

My first heads were satellite aeros. Paper thin blades.  Lol. I forget if they were 3, 4, or even 5 blade. Lol. 

I then shot Rocky mountain supreme 3 blades. This was late 80s early 90s. I was a teenager. Shot them out of a Browning Bushmaster? I think. Lol.

But only one of those heads is older than 1981 

Cam locks was third revision of wasp. As is the thicker blade satellite.  

Snuffer was great head . As well as the  thunderheads.

Wish I had a dollar for all bows I set up with all the cobra sight pins .t pins etc.

Guys don't realise how advanced we are today
