If you missed the first shot it is very unlikely to connect on the 2nd shot. Guys doing it are suffering from buck fever

No state land hunting and horrible weather most of the week, I'd say that's a great harvest number. Hopefully they can open state land back up for the Dec segment

Harvest is right on a level with last year since $0 percent of the bear range is state property. Last year there were 244 bears killed. ^0 percent of 244 = 146.4 ! So this year with 139 killed you are only a bit over 7 bear kills down. Not bad considering the weather. Lets see what happens in December. If the kill remains low there are going to be a lot of bears for next year. Maybe by then Mu

if that is case stick with using a gun

bear numbers will in fact increase on lands closed for bear hunting

No, there is enough private land surrounding state land to make a significant impact on the population.  I'm very happy with 140 bears being taken.
