13 bears yesterday. Seems like a huge waste of money to have this type of reporting situation for that few bears. Waste of publics resources to pay all that money babysitting protestors  when they could come up with a much more responsible  reporting scenario.

Already can muzzleloader hunt this early season . 

Todays muzzle loaders put a shot gun to shame

look at the cumulative harvest rate. Only 1% difference between last year and this year so far.

8 bears in Passaic county.... these must all be Newark Watershed since the only other public land in the county is Tranquility Ridge and there isn't a lot of huntable private land.

72 bears in 3-days 2018  compared to 125 in 3-days 2017.... my prediction for this week in the other post was overly optimistic.

More animals being killed with "archary" weapons. 

Lots of bears live where you can't hunt or are not allowed to.

Shot gun season waste of time in this day and age

Amen to that. I'll never forget the first deer I killed with the muzzy, such devastating results. I love hunting with it

Yup, shotgun slugs just suck in the accuracy department, especially when you miss with your first shot or need a follow-up shot or two.

At 45 years old and hunting more than half my life I still and always find it funny when I hear BANG then few seconds BANG BANG.  I have never figured how I can kill a deer with one arrow but yet when it comes to gun season we seem to unload gun so EVERYONE knows we are out there
