Rusty
That's so great. My daughter made friends with one of the deer where we hunt. She named it Tiny. 3Blade, buckfever1974, Bill from NJ and 5 others
3Blade
That is a cool encounter. I've had a few encounters where they got within 5' of me, but I never attempted to touch them. LPJR 1 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Rusty
Back when our daughter was 10, I took her and her friend squirrel hunting. As we walked through an area that was all torn up from someone baiting, 2 small deer came running right up to us looking for food. They just stood there, only feet away looking up at us. My daughter's friend, this cute little 10 year old girl, looks at the deer, looks at me, and says, "can I shoot one?" Rusty
I've had 3 "pet" deer over the years. Kids from the neighborhood shot all 3.
not on the rug
I petted a deer once when I was a teenager. I was cruising down a bike trail and when I came around the bend a young doe was just standing there. I stopped, laid down my bike and slowly walked up to her. I petted her for a minute or two and then walked back to my bike to continue the ride. LPJR and Rusty
