Pelican Falcon is that bird on the sapling you see in it's splendor. And watching a falcon mount a pelican is breath taking and majestic.

No, my buddy in Dingmans took it.  He's the same guy with the Red-shoulder nest in his yard.  I got a few pileateds around the house but they are camera shy.

That is a Flicker.  I see them all the time.  They will peck trees or kick up leaves and peck at the ground for food.

I took these last week from the blind.

Flickers have a speckled belly, red-bellies don't.
