Saw this on Channel 12 News - Optimum.  Looks like the News crews will be on  bear watch for a while.....

It's disturbing to see the reaction a bear gets on the east side of the state.  Tranquilize it, knock it out of the tree with a fire hose, call 911, chase it, capture and relocate it.   Why can't they just leave it be, and let it roam where it wants to, like we do here on a daily bases?

More Like 1 3/4 years old 106 lbs Have Fleas and Ticks and a Runny Nose and a headache from all the assholes shouting and harassing it.

Since I have close to 0 experience with bears, just trying to compare to the one I confronted at the garbage can a couple of weeks ago. You know how critters grow in your mind. That was the comment on the news last night, I would have thought it was bigger.

Just a guess - these are probably the same NYC suburbanites that scream "NO BEAR HUNT!" and "Bears are cute" except when the bears come into their neighborhood - that's when they want them gone by any means necessary.
