I’m guessing odds are 80 percent that I will recover.  He seems well hit.  I hope a coyote doesn’t bump him. Will head out at 4am.  It’s going to be 24 degrees tonight so I think it will be fine.  I know I will not sleep at all.

Sounds good.  In 40 years of hunting this still bothers me. I do think the cold temps will do him in.

Definitely liver hit. That’s a dead buck. You will find him quick in the morning.
