Still Catching

Ended last week after 3 days of fishing about 4 hours each day with 32 trout. Back out today for again about 4 hours. Got 14 trout and 3 smallies including another nice one like I got two weeks ago, 18 inches. All action on spinners.

4 days of 4 hours of fishing each day, covering about 3 miles of walking each day, catching 49 fish is 3 fish per hour. I would not consider that “easy” fishing for anyone but especially not for a 70 year old.  I have fly fished in the past. However at my age I want easy; not looking for more challenging. But thanks for the recommendation.👍

Hi OldPiney, I'm in the same boat,I'll be 72 in July. Love this time of the year,the weekend warriors are all but gone. I spend 1/2 day on the water during the week  without seeing another fishermen. I just started using a wading staff,the best thing I have ever done! Best of Luck!
