When my late Girlfriend- Patti lived at the Great Gorge Town House Development- the one with the Big Golf Course in Vernon,NJ-  She had many up close sightings of Big Black Bears walking around the Town Houses and on that Golf Course.

   The sides of those buildings  where she had to walk to to get Into her place was not lighted at all! 

  She had Black Bears looking into her Windows and Bears regularly  dragged Garbage up the Mountain. 

 Both Black Bears and Racoons would be at the Dumpsters  together..

Good news. Ignoring the problem as per Murphy  is not a management plan.

Well us middle and south jersey folks are happy to report bear sightings are far and few in between. Sightings are rare. You can keep them up north with the MOUNTAIN LIONS all we have down here is the JERSEY DEVIL

Bear compliants have doubled . i find that hard to believe. the bear group always said garbage control and bear education will keep them in check...

Bears numbers will quadruple within 3 years .

will get to the point that they are totally out of control again .

will be a new world record roaming our woods by the time a season opens again .
