10/17 Check In

Saw 35 deer all within 40 yards but, the big 9 point never showed. I will be out tomorrow afternoon to try again.

Just when I thought the night was over black bear comes in 15yards 641pm ..... met up with 5 guys found the arrow kicked the bear up from 3 different spots 

gonna continue the search tomorrow in the daylight ....

Good luck with your search tomorrow. 
Not sure how much experience you have, so I’m not trying to beat you up, but after you jumped it the first time you probably should have backed out.

It was my first bear hunt the guys thought it may have died after the first bump there was so much blood they thought it would have bled out......

will continue the search

I can’t help but to beat myself up about not using my brand new ravin R29x knowing how tuff deer can be the bear would be tougher 

that much more power would have gotten a pass through

If you bumped him 3 timed, he's pretty sick.  Pulling out was a good move.  You will probably find him today. Keep us posted.

I hear bears arent any tougher than deer so would stress over not using the ravin

WHAT A SLEEPLESS NIGHT.....

there was so much blood the guys I was with thought it would have bled out there was so much blood ..... but I guess now that’s a good thing hopefully this tracking dog will pick up the trail

I suggest go to last blood & look agaian before you call dog guy. good chance youll recover. I think u r supposed to call njdfg let them know

Update on the bear?

I called the tracker suggested he’s busy all day 

called a few other either busy or busy

one guy gave me a hundred excuses to why the bear is still alive and not worth going to look for him...

finally just spoke to a woman tracker not even 15min ago said she will call me after she’s done with her track that she’s on now....

sounds promising wifey says woman are more prom to help....

the other trackers did say they would post my info on their web page so other trackers could see and offer help...

if all else fails will be out searching by 1pm
