can animals read?

Because I swear they know the digest inside and out - particularly the season dates.

I wanted to get out of the house, so I went to a spot that had a bunch of groundhogs last year. Nothing in season now except groundhogs, so I figured do some groundhog hunting today.

Almost immediately, I see a flock of turkeys (with a couple Toms) walking without a care in the world. Then I see some ducks in some flooded areas that I walked by. Crows fly overhead. I see 3 deer cross an open field. Turkeys gobbling on the neighboring property.

And not a single groundhog to be seen.

I go home... sit down in my home office and get ready to work - look out my window, and see a squirrel running across my backyard lawn.

Yes they can they also know if you are hunting them .how many time have you seens squirrels when deer hunting.  If you go after squirrels you see deer.

I thought your last sentence was going to be you got home and your cell cam sent you pictures of a groundhog.

Saw a few today and got a shot at one.  They aren't as camera shy, but all were close to a hole.
