I apologize KG.  I only shot him because he had a broken leg, if he was healthy I wouldn't have shot him.  I had one of your NJ Booners spend 5 minutes making a scrape 8 yards in front of me and I never picked up the bow.

I am just busting. They are deer. Every year there is a new one to chase. Sometimes they are huge sometimes they are decent. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes someone else does.

When I was in Illinois years ago, a guy stalked right up to a mature deer that was wandering around by the camp. It was acting like it had dementia or something. A deer can't live much more than 7-8 years in the wild.

Keep in mind, some of the biggest bucks in record books were "picked up". Not killed by hunters.
