Not many trustworthy folks...... I bump into stands and cameras all the time when hunting woodcock, but I always think that's cool and signals the area may be good for all types game. It never crosses my mind to take stuff and disturb another Sportman's work.

That sucks big time. I walk WMA every year. See tons of equipment. Sometimes I stop and look to see what does the other see in this spot that I don't? Then leave , wouldn't touch anything.

I do the same thing I always stop and look to see why they chose that spot then move along to find my own spot

I've had too much stuff stolen from me so I don't leave stuff out hardly at all anymore on public land - but if I do, I will never leave it out just prior to, and during, 6-day. Any stuff I might have out is coming down by the 3rd or 4th week of November.

That's the mistake I made this year and they took my camera from a private property.

I didn't have them locked because I honestly didn't want to go through the extra hassle of locking them.  At one time I tied them to the trees with steel chain that I'd attach to where the bungees go, then lock that around the tree.  From now on it'll either be locked up somehow, or I'll carry a stick with me and put them 12 feet up angled down...or both.

Join the club. Sooner or later everyone seems to become a victim of a slimeball somewhere, somehow. It is never ending. I've had cameras, blinds and stands go missing on private ground and property I share in a club. Scum are scum and there is really no way to ever change that in today's world of disrespect.

That's a nice setup.  Do you mind sharing what kind of hardware you're using for this?  Also, how do you bolt it to the bottom of the camera...do you have to open up the housing?

Well -1/4 x 4 inch eye screw

1/4 x 4 inch eye bolt

1 inch x 3/8 hex bolt

3- 3/8 x 1 1/4 FENDER WASHERS (big)

1 3/8 NYLON HEX NUT ( nylon) important!

- all trail cameras have I believe 1/4 screw holes on the back and some on the bottom, I have this on all of my cameras, I use 3 tree spikes to hang, after the first time you screw them in it only takes 5 extra minutes to check film ( 5 extra minutes to never have your camera stolen )

TOTAL COST PER CAMERA LESS THEN 4 DOLLARS !

First time you buy hardware bring camera with you and put together in the store, I always carry these 3 tools with me because I am always moving and fine tuning my cameras !

Well heading up the mountain now to check cameras and go for a hike, hope this helps !

           Good Luck !
