DV1
The last 2 evenings I've taken a ride around Salem County. Tuesday I noticed more deer than the past several years, less fawns so last night I actually kept track. 50+ adult does with no fawns, 3 does with twins each, and about 9 small bucks. That seemed odd to me. The hunters in LAC, Quinton and Mannington need to start shooting some does, more than I've seen in years out that way. I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation UNDER GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. DBuck
We had a set of fawns in the group of deer that live in our area but one got hit, that's the 4th fawn I've seen dead on the road in the past 2 weeks. I actually got out and moved one out of the middle of the road by the lopatcong park because of it being summertime and I didn't want all the little kids seeing "Bambi" laying there. 230jhp
The doe I have been seeing out my living room window the last few weeks had only one fawn. Yesterday I watched her for 10 minutes and no fawn in sight. Maybe a 'yote got it or a car or maybe it was a different doe.

Pauls Taxidermy
Quite a few around here, zone 50. 2-3 fawns at a clip. At least 6-7 road killed this month.
jakesbeard
This spring/ summer we have seen the most bears ever not sure what impact this has had on the deer. Yesterday in our travels mostly around home here in DMZ10 we saw 3 does with triplets and any number of them with 1or 2 fawns so at least here not all fawns have been eaten or flattened yup DMZ10......did I just "spot burn"?
