Caping wasn't hard. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I hope that I didn't screw it up thinking it was so easy, I was very careful though.

 

The tip is broke on the one main beam and there is a hole in another tine

Congrats!  Would like to hear the story on how he got it.

 

We were driving with a club. The guy next to us on stand had him coming right to him. He watched it for 20min just sneaking up out of the swamp and shot when he was about 30-40yds but said he must of got buck fever after watching him for so long. It came loping to us and I told my nephew to get ready. He put the gun up and as soon as he saw him his eyes got huge and he started breathing very heavy. I had to yell "shoot" or he would have just watch him go by. He shot once and hit it, but stopped shooting and I shot it to anchor it to make sure it didn't go any farther.  He did a great job and made sure he was safe. We would post up on stand and he would set firing points to limit his shots to safe areas only. I am very proud of him and now he is hooked for life.
