I'm actually quite happy. Lower bear hunter participation in the December season means less guys from south jersey tracking north. So we've got our woods back

that would sound the same as I'm glad it got bone chilly along the coast that way we have all the bass to ourselves and it kept all the googans up north away from the jersey Shore

It won't reach 100 bears..it's losing its luster in december..spring season would bring out drobes

I thought with yesterday's weather, dark and gloomy, and the oncoming snow/rain, they would move earlier, but NOOOOOO, I didn't see the bear on my cam until 7:05 last night.

My earlier prediction was incorrect - looks like I will not be getting a second bear.  Oh well, now I only need one extra job to cover my taxi bill, instead of two.................

Far from it. Bait-free. Butcher-do it yourself. Skull-1 hour and $10 worth of peroxide. Permit-$2.00 and a dream. Time in the woods chasing Yogi-Priceless!

Well if 30% quota is not reached F&W could extend season. Though bears have probably denned up by now

They should have opened bear even during the two day muzzy season

I haven't cut a bear track here in Sparta all week and we have snow on the ground. Must be denned up. Still, over 600 bears so far this fall which is a state record.

It's just not working out this week for me.  Still got a brute showing up, but he was educated in Oct.  Have NEVER seen him on cam during shooting light.  I know he is coming from woods across the road, but won't cross that road before dark.  Last night he showed at 5:42.  I did try knocking on the door of the people across the road, but no answer.

On Tuesday afternoon, my buddy shot the boar with the white blaze that was as big or bigger than the one I killed in October, so I have lost all interest in another bear for this year.
