Hello,

I'm looking to purchase my first firearm, a hunting shotgun. I am most likely going to purchase a 500 or an 870. I'm currently looking for a store to purchase from. Im attempting to avoid big companies like dicks or Walmart. I want a shop with friendly knowledge staff, who are able to help me make the correct choice. Driving distance is not a problem, as I will be willing to drive to Pa if nessecary. Thank you

Jim Flynns in Glen Gardner ,This was my #1 place to go when I lived in NJ and all my friends go to him as well as many NJSP and LEOs. Tims a great guy and Knowledgable

Where are you located? It's worth a drive to Jim Flynn's for sure.

 

Dunkelbergers also actually has good prices on firearms as well. Those are my 2 usual suspects

I have never bought from Jim Flynn but know guys that have and he was priced right and gave them a good deal. Also you could look at what Bud's Gun's is selling them for and have it shipped to Saloman's Shooting Supply in Farmingdale. They have Gene's FFL on file and it is an easy transaction. Also Gene only charges $10.00 for the NICS and $25.00 for the transfer. Compared to 50 or 60 dollars elsewhere.

I just noticed someone has an 870 for sale in the classifieds. If it is an older model you will be better off buying it then a new one.

There was a Jim Finn who played fullback for the giants for a few seasons. He was on the SB team that beat the Pats the 1st time
