Rest Brother, rest you fought the good fight but now you can rest. Thank you for your service Ranger. Thank you for all the discussions on line on the phone and in person, about fishing hunting shooting and military service. Thank you or showing me through your actions whether it was offering to repair someone's gun for free,hunting tips, advice on reloading tips or your the rimfire challenges. That maybe I should less concerned about me and what I was doing and more about being ambassador for our sports and helping others who want to fish hunt and shoot. Thank you for all the great people I met through your different events that I now get to call my friends. I now have friends from South Jersey to within a few miles of my house and I was even reunited with a friend I have not seen in many years. So rest now Ranger in Gods arms, I know your in heaven because you did your time in hell. Till we meet again Brother. Steve

This is very sad to hear.

 

I too was never able to meet up with Steve. He offered to help me go hunting in a spot he knew would work with my wheelchair. Unfortunately, the timing was off. I even got a .22 and set it up so I could meet up in the nicer weather. I'll never forget him.

 

I send my prayers to your family.

I'm pretty sure he would tell us to stop being so sad and get out into the woods.  I had the good fortune to get to meet Stevo back when I first started hunting.  We traded farm fresh eggs and homemade salsa and he told me stories, and gave advice.  He always had time for questions and great advice.  I don't think the world will know another fighter like him.  God, did he fight for his life.  Breaks my heart that he is gone, but I am thankful the pain is over.  Mad love my friend, I hope you are flying high and smiling big.
