Been out in 35 since 10. Not a single deer

How was the bacon?

Got a spike and 7pt and 2 small doe and button buck around me. The one little doe keeps taking running fast and probably going 100 yds out then running back. Its been doing that for a half hour. 7 ran her around or a minute or 2. Well phone is almost dead.

Gotta get the portable re-chargers. I got one at Walmart for like 15 bucks and it will do two complete charges.

The turkey came in, but I shot too low. I injured one bird and sat waiting for it to expire. Sat a good 45 minutes and the thing was still able to fly away.

 

I'm going to look for it again at sundown.

Thanks for posting live. Stuck home as the wife got very ill last night. But just had the 13 yo  grandson re=practice for his bow test tomorrow. Nice group shot so we'll see if he can handle the pressure and the test tomorrow.

Notice that I took the mesh out of the center panel.  

 

I found the bird I injured, but pushed it twice over 2.5 hours.  It's hurt, but it can fly and escape predators.  I feel really bad about the shot.  I thought I had it.

Ended up seeing 4 bucks and a few yearling does and buttons bucks. No adult does. Must be locked down with the good bucks. Great night. Had deer around me from 2 till the time i got out. Oh well till another day

My son had five does out in front of him tonight after switching stands with me but, he chose not to shoot. I saw a fox, one squirrel, 12 Black ducks, a few Blue Herons and a Bald Eagle. No deer at all.
