Great buck!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that moves when the wind direction changes.thats why I'm always in a climber.such an important part of the hunt that gets overlooked by a lot of hunters.

Meant to ask, did you know this buck was in the area or have trailcam pics of him?  Or was it a total surprise when he came in?

Don't have any trail cams out and I can't say for sure I've seen him before but I think I may have encountered him earlier in his life a couple times so not a total suprise to see a buck of his stature. Other than having a cam out or seeing him while hunting there would be no other way to know he was there other than the massive tracks and rubs I've found because there would be no way to spotlight him with no crop fields around.

Cool, so it wasn't that you were particularly targeting this buck, more so you hunted in areas that you've had success in the past and saw some good sign there.

I find certain areas (even on public land) do tend to consistently hold good bucks year after year.

Always scouting and camming around to find more though
